The School of Archaeological and Forensic Sciences at the University of Bradford is excited to host the first Modern Conflict Research Symposium, which will be held on Saturday 3rd February 2018.

The theme for the conference is Grave Matters .

The symposium is designed to showcase alternative approaches to the study of modern conflict from 1850 to present day and the human experience of war. We recognize the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of the study of warfare and so welcome submissions from any discipline, including (but not limited to):

Military History
Conflict Archaeology
Identification of Human Remains
Memorialisation
Battlefield Tourism & Contemporary Engagement
Material Culture
Anthropology
Social History
Peace Studies
Politics
Museum studies
