Jamie was originally a geologist who’s intersts in multi-disciplinary quantitative research has moved from capturing architectural geometries of reservoir analogues ( through to near-surface geophysics, military and now forensic geoscience, specialising in forensic geophysics.

He now leads a multi-disciplinary research team of forensic geoscientists committed to supporting the police force and the wider community, both in the UK and internationally.

Past efforts have involved searching for active missing persons, aiding in body recovery, and assisting with unsolved cold cases. Additionally, our expertise extends to applications such as weapon searches, graveyard and archaeology surveys, environmental contamination, and investigations into wildlife and environmental crimes.
