Professor Christopher Dean (UCL) continues our Spring Semester guest lectures with a presentation of research on tooth microstructure and how such information can inform our understanding of past communities.

Christopher began his career studying as a Dental Surgeon at UCL, before moving to the University of Oxford to undertake Human Biology research, before completing PhD research at the University of London, in Anatomy, and achieving further dental qualifications with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Professor Dean uses his background in dentistry and anatomy to addess human evolution, and particularly where, when, and why modern humans evolved a c. 20 year period of growth and development.

We hope that you will be able to join us in welcoming Professor Dean to Bradford, and enjoy his presentation of his research linking the fossil dental record and human evolution.
