Dr Michael Copper presents the final lecture of the 2016-2017 guest speaker series, and we are pleased that we can use this session to showcase the research of a recent PhD graduate from the School of Archaeological Sciences.
Mike has specialised in Neolithic pottery from Scotland, and has been involved in excavations at the Ness of Brodgar. Mike is also an active experimental archaeologist, creating reconstruction of Neolithic Pottery.
Dr Copper has previously been a school teacher, at Head of Department level, and also has substaintial experience of archaeological fieldwork in the commercial sector. More recently you may have seen him presenting at the Theoretical Archaeology Group (TAG) conference hosted by the School of Archaeological Sciences in 2015, demonstrating his continuing interest in the application of theoretical approaches to archaeological evidence.
We hope that you can join us in welcoming Mike to the guest lecture series, and his exploration of Similar but Better forms of ceramics.
