Amy Downes
Finds Liaison Officer, South and West Yorkshire
West Yorkshire Archaeology Advisory Service

The British Museum’s Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) has recorded over 1.5 million finds – each one a unique discovery made by a member of the public. This talk will explore how the PAS is advancing archaeological knowledge, sharing information about the past, encouraging best practice and supporting museum acquisitions of Treasure and other finds, by looking at local finds recorded through the scheme.
