This exhibition was originally organised by Muslims in Rail and held at the Churchill Function Room, Houses of Parliament, London. The event was held as part of the Rail 200 bicentenary celebrations focussing on the Muslim contribution to railway heritage.

It is produced and written by Prof. Andrew Petersen, UoB, in collaboration with Hasan Ahmed and the membership of Muslims in Rail. This exhibition takes a deep look at Muslim contributions to the rail industry in the UK and provides an insight into the Hejaz Railway as the world’s first Muslim railway and gateway to the Harameen – the Holy cities of Medina and Mecca.
