3 Nov by Micheal Butler

Dr Aoife Sutton-Butler, postdoctoral researcher, will be giving a talk as part of the Thackray Museum’s lecture series (Thackray Insights), this coming Saturday (8/11/25). Aoife will be discussing her role as graveyard keeper at Undercliffe cemetery, and the ways in which we preserve our relationships with the dead.

Professor Laura King will also be speaking on how the dead stay alive through their loved ones and remain an active part of family life over many generations.

Further info, and tickets for Thackray Insights can be found here: https://thackraymuseum.co.uk/event/thackray-insights-the-living-dead/

Aoife was also recently featured in People, discussing both her work at Undercliffe cemetery, and as researcher on the AHRC funded, Lost and Found project.
