2 Jul by JENNINGS, BR

The School of Archaeological and Forensic Sciences excavation ‘Uncovering the 1904 Exhibition’ kicked off in Lister Park, Bradford, in the swealtering heat of the 30th June.

Aiming to identify the location of the 1904 Exhibitions Concert Hall, the excavation is a joint cultural event for BD25, the Council for British Archaeology ‘Festival of Archaeology’ and a student training activity.

The excavation is open to public volunteers and groups.

The first two days have been heard clearing through the turf and topsoil, and are now beginning to identify possible features seen in geophysics results.
