West Yorkshire’s city of Bradford was crowned UK City of Culture 2025 and will become a venue of groundbreaking cultural activities in the following year. Once considered to be the wool capital of the world, Bradford is also known as the Curry Capital of Britain, after claiming the title for six consecutive years. The Victorian Society held its annual meeting in the city, praising it for its “jaw-droppingly incredible” architecture.

Bradford is also regarded as a pioneering centre for archaeological prospection. 50 years of tradition in developing and implementing scientific methods in Archaeology is a solid legacy to build upon. This presentation will showcase the past, present and future of “Geofizz” in Bradford.
