DR TABITHA KABORA JOINS LOST FRONTIERS

13 Nov 2018 by Gaffney, Vince

Europe’s Lost Frontiers welcomes Dr Tabitha Kabora to the team. Tabitha has a background in environmental conservation and archaeology, and has recently completed her PhD (University of York). Her interdisciplinary doctoral research focused on the utility of the long-term perspectives of archaeological and environmental studies, combining them with ABM techniques, to understand the effects of human-environment interactions. Her doctoral research formed part of the interdisciplinary Archaeology of Agricultural Resilience in Eastern Africa (AAREA) project.

As part of the Europe’s Lost Frontiers Project team, Tabitha will work with project experts developing palaeoecological models of Doggerland during the early Holocene and assist to incorporate these models into computer simulations. Her work will focus on ratifying data from different palaeoenvironmental and palaeoecological proxies obtained from sediment cores and developing models that provide information on the environment and landscapes of Doggerland prior to its submersion under what is now the North Sea.

Welcome Tabitha!
