LOST FRONTIERS AND FLANDERS MARINE INSTITUTE MEET TO DISCUSS COLLABORATION

Staff from the Bradford Lost Frontiers team, and the Flanders Marine Institute, met over 2 days to explore the opportunities for research collaboration in the North Sea.

The Flanders Marine Institute is the coordination and information platform for marine and coastal research in Flanders. It also promotes and supports scientific research and marine education as a partner in various projects and networks (http://www.vliz.be/en/organisation)

Whilst in Bradford, and following detailed inspection of recent mapping within the southern sector of the North Sea, Dr Tine Missiaen, along with Maikel DeClerc and Dr David Garcia, discussed shared research objectives with Lost Frontiers staff, and the potential for joint data acquisition and analysis -
